When booking an
appointment with the practice nurse,
it is helpful to state the reason
for the visit so we can book the
right amount of time.
They can help with Minor Injuries,
Health Checks, Cervical Smears,
Diabetes, Asthma, Healthy Heart
clinics, Travel Advice, Dressings,
Immunisations, Ear Syringing, Blood
Tests, Family Planning Advice and
Dietary/Weight Advice.
Our Nurse Assistants take blood
samples in the surgery and also do
BP checks.
8.50-12.30 Mon-Fri mornings.
COMMUNITY

Our District Nurses look after
patients and those caring for them
at home. They give nursing care and
arrange help from other sources.

Visitors provide a service for
parents and children. They
undertake ‘drop in’ Child Health
clinics every week for advice
about babies and pre-school
children. They can advise and
support parents on topics such
as feeding, weaning, nutrition,
development, toilet training,
behavioural problems and safety
issues.
MIDWIVES
Ten
midwives, The Waterperry
Group, look after
patients throughout
pregnancy, labour and after
delivery.
Ante-natal care is shared
with five of the doctors.
