Patient Participation Group
Volunteers required.
We would like to set up a PPG. This
is a group of patients who meet
twice a year with members of the
Practice to promote a clearer
understanding of the way in which
the Practice works with a view to
offering the patients an improved
service. We are not a forum for
clinical complaint. Any patient or
carer of a patient registered with
the Practice is welcome to attend.
Please contact the Practice Manager
if you feel you are able to
contribute.

If your GP has referred you for a
hospital outpatient department you
will have noticed there has been a
change over the last 18 months.
Now
your GP does not request an
appointment for you but he might
give you a form called an
Appointment Request or it may have
been sent to you by the Practice
Secretary. On this form there will
be a list of up to 5 hospitals, or
less if you requested to be seen in
a specific hospital, you will also
have a UBRN number and a password.
You will be asked to call to make
your appointment at your preferred
hospital at a time which suits you,
hence you receive an appointment
according to when you are able to
make it.
This system also gives you
a choice of other hospitals which
you may prefer to use. |
